. | - | Since Santa’s in town and I wanna be a good boy to get the Mai Hime OST I wrote to him for, I’ve decided to come clean… The truth is I’m watching more anime series than I dare own up and that’s not all… I’m ENJOYING every one of them?! hangs head in shame Here’s a list of anime I’ve secretly added to my anime diet… Rozen Maiden (Ep 6) : Highlander meets Chucky’s Bride.. “ Himemiya Chikane I would never have thought that one of the most romantic phrases I’ve heard would come from a shoujo-ai anime series.. It would have been more humane if she was shielded by partial Orochi possession of her mind (rather than to endure all that reflected, amplified pain she inflicted on Himeko in full consciousness).. Her inhuman fortitude to see her deception through is even more poignant now that we recall her torrential love declarations for Himeko in ep 11.. Contrary to my initial beliefs, Kannazuki no Miko is neither a Gundam nor Marimite parody :P Take away the mechas, Orochis and the somewhat weak mikos-save-the-world premise, we have a yuri rendition of Kiminozo; a powerful love story at the heart delivered by its equally intense protagonist, Himemiya Chikane.
