  • . I found the Oompas quite frightening, the humour quite lacking, and the overall feel of the film a smidgen overdone.
  • . Meegan was right about Depp taking on a Michael Jackson tone - but WHY!? Wasn't the film scary enough with those creepy little sadist Oompas and the murderous squirrels!? Burton is a beautiful nutcase, and his skill is undeniable because although I left the movie somewhat disappointed, I still really liked it.

  • . These Loompas claim to be peaceniks with some kind of moral code, but their simplistic truisms seems to consist of the following proclamations: don't overeat, don’t chew gum, don’t watch TV or don’t dare belt it out like Ethel Merman.
