Summary of major aims: To examine the effect of three dietary regimes on the subsequent health and mortality of men who had suffered myocardial infarction between 1983 and 1987.

Study population: Men under 70 suffering a myocardial infarction admitted to 21 hospitals in S Wales & SW England
