MRS2 video and audio codec
Is a codec useful for viewing video recorded on a Mio 8390/8870

MiTAC seems to used a proprietary mpeg4 and mpeg3 codec in his phones. In fact MRS2 I think is for (Mitac Research of Shanghai codec 2)
But by chance a day, when I was trying to coding a mrs2avi utility (developing stopped in the early stages because I'm stupid and I haven't so much spare time), I noticed that the MRS2 codec it was 99% similar to the open source xvid codec. So I slightly modified one of the xvid first version install files and voila mrs2 codec is ready ;)
It works 100% if you have xvid codec too; if you haven't playback can crash after a few seconds
So, your friends will be able to see your videos!! Just give 'em the codec!
Usage: (read with attention please!)
Download file
Unzip it
Install by clicking on install.com (if you receive an error, try to drag the *.ax files on regsvr32.exe located in your system32 folder)
Play your file ;)
Uninstall clicking on uninstall.com
Limitations:
This is a DirectShow filter so you can't encode using this codec. (Why encode using a "proprietary" codec????)
