PETER ALBERT'S TRIP TO ITALY

 

Peter Albert with his wife Susan and their 3.rd son Christopher landed in Rome on April 27, 2002.

They stayed in Italy for 8 days.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rome, Piazza di Spagna

 

 

Also two friends of them came to Italy, Gregory and his wife Benita.

 

We met in St. Pietro Square, in the Vatican

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We visited the Catacombs, the Vatican Museums, the Roman Forum

 

 

 

(there was also my daughter Paola)

 

 

 

 

 

 

................We.....We went also to the Colosseum.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

...to the Pantheon and to Trevi Fountain

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We went to visit Pompeii

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We drove through Morra De Sanctis

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(the country where was born the Literature Critics Francesco De Sanctis, a few miles far from our aim)

 

 

 

and finally we arrived at Castelgrande

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A DeSanctis went back to his ancestor's village after more than 100 years!

Of course, we ate some Italian foods, as prosciutto and mozzarella, parmigiano and caciocavallo cheese, pasta and pizza. We drank some very good wines.

 

 

 

Peter offered a wonderful bottle of Dom Perignon French Champagne, 1997 year!

 

 

 

 

 

 

They left Italy on May 5, 2002.
