G. Stanco, L'ordinamento di Frigento in un inedito "bando" di fine Cinquecento, pp.65-82

Dopo aver tracciato il profilo relativo all'organizzazione politica, economice, sociale ed ecclesiastica della città di Frigento, l'Autore ne ha descritto l'ordinamento giuridico ed amministrativo, commentando un bando emanato il 25 ottobre 1596 da Prospero Prignano, governatore della città allora infeudata al principe Carlo Gesualdo. si trata di una fonte anomala in quanto costituita da prescrizioni contro il banditismo e da norme che solitamente erano presenti negli statuti delle Universitates.

After the outline of the political, economic,social and ecclesiastical organization of the town of Frigento, the author descrbes the legal and comments upon an edict passed on the 25th of October 1596 by Prospero Prignano, governor of the townjust become a feud of the prince Carlo Gesualdo. It is an anomalous source since it is formed by prescriptions against the brigandage and by rules which were usually present in the Universitates.
