MIRIAM RIMON

God said: "Let there be light" and there was light

The forbidden garden

Born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, she studied art and printing in Israel with Master E. Sigard and with Master Y.Vardi.

She now lives in Brescia, Italy, where she studied for two years at the "Caravaggio" Istitute of Art.

After a lot of personal research and study, Miriam started her silk-painting adventure, constantly inventing, researching and developing new techniques and styles of silk painting.

She produces beautiful silk scarves that are much appreciated by her clients.

Her skills extend to water colours and portraits in pastels. Miriam is also an expert in old Hebrew and Gothic scriptures which she reproduces skilfully and ornately on parchment paper using china ink and an old-style pen.

She has taken part in many collective exhibitions and art competitions, where she has been awarded medals and wide acclaim.

In February 2000 she held a personal exhibition at the gallery of the Union of Catholic Artists of Italy (U.C.A.I.) in Brescia where she received most appreciative critiques and much success among the public.

Miriam Rimon is member of the following associations of artists: U.C.A.I. ; A.A.B.; Martino Dolci; Amici dell'Arte -  S. Eufemia (BS).
