Farewell Leslie...

Leslie died at 7.04 pm at The Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong.

He jumped for the 24th floor of Mandarin Hotel at 6.41 pm.

ANNOUNCEMENT

In order to avoid speculations and gossip about this dreadful tragedy, paying respect to Leslie, his companion, his family and all people who really love him, I won't link here any reports for HK media. Please refer to LeslieTango Home Page for news.

Leslie donated HK$ 100.000 to ECSAF

Leslie donated HK$100,000 to the ECSAF (Siu Fong-Fong's 'End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation' ). The ECSAF Charity Night will be held on 12/04/03 this year. Leslie shows his support to be the first one to donate $100,000 to the Fund. This sum of money is his birthday present of last year. He urged his friends not to buy him presents but instead give him cash when coming to his birthday party. He's got a big heart!

Leslie's been nominated as Best Actor at 22 HK Film Award for 'Inner Senses'

Such a great news! He's been nominated along with Karena Lam (Best Actress) and Law Chi Leung (Best Director)! Ceremony will be held in Hong Kong on April 6th 2003! CONGRATULATIONS GOR GOR!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

Leslie said he was happy about the news of his nomination. He asked the reporters who his contestants are. After knowing the other nominees (Andy Lau, Leon Lai, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai and Tony Leung Kar-Fai) he said: "They are all my good friends. I would be happy whoever is going to win. Of course I’d be happier if I could win". Isn't he a true gentleman????

Anyway, whether he wins or not everybody already know he's the best!!!!!

Recently, Alan Tam and Hacken Lee joined together to hold concerts and the reaction from audiences was great. Anita was asked if she would like to find a partner to do the same thing? However, Anita asked back the reporters who should she work with? Someone suggested Leslie Cheung. "Actually, I used to have world tour with Leslie long time ago. About Anita Mui's DVD and her duets with Leslie

According to The Sun Anita's wish to include in her concert DVD the guest performance of Leslie at the last show nearly frizzled out because of the rivalry between Chan Siu-po of UMG and Li Chun of Music Nation. This DVD is originally planned to be released in December last. In order to include Leslie's part in the DVD, Music Nation has to obtain the copyright of the songs and the approval from UMG for Leslie's appearance as he is UMG contract artist. Though copyright fee had been paid for (it was said that Anita paid for the copyright for all her songs) yet Music Nation had to delay the release as UMG was withholding the issue. Seeing this Anita sought Leslie's assistance and he finally helped to resolve the matter. The reporter later on called Lee Chun to enquire about this. Lee said: "There has been obstacles because of commercial consideration but the problem is now solved with the help of Leslie. Chan Siu-po and I are still good friends.
