The "KNIGHT RIDER" set

KNIGHT OF THE DROANS (2/2)

by Linda

For some reason we were the only ones who followed the crew. When David noticed us watching quietly from the road he called us over. He could not have been nicer. He offered to take pictures with the kids, told us about his new album "Night Rocker" and his pending visit to the White House to meet President Reagan and the First Lady.

Eric and Suzy were sure to wear their Knight Rider T-shirt.

The rest of the afternoon was spent watching them rigging the car with cameras and lights.

And he was on the road.

It was getting late, the wind had picked up and the San Francisco fog was rolling in so we decided to call it a day. Plans were to continue shooting until they lost the sunlight but with David through for the day we were too. And we knew the next days shooting schedule. We would be back.

The next day the location was an alley that was made up to look like an alley in China Town. The scene called for Michael to confront half a dozen "Bad Guys".

After the stuntman rehearsed and filmed the fight scene it was time for David to come in and do the same scene with close-ups and dialog added.

And that was a wrap. I have been lucky enough to see David two more times, on the "Baywatch" set and a "Baywatch Festival" in San Francisco. He still remains warm and attentive to his fans. What else would you expect?
