Getting to the Stuffing . . . As promised, here is the recipe for Apple Bacon Corn Bread stuffing . . . everyone raved about this on Thanksgiving. I know it seems like a lot of ingrediants but the prep goes very quickly and it comes together easily. The land of milk and almonds Daryn and I were on a soy milk kick about a year ago-- that lasted a few months but for reasons I can't remember, we went back to dairy. We don't drink a lot of milk (and to get on a small soap box, it really isn't the super-beverage I Went South of the Border for My Lasagna I made this a couple nights ago, because another slice of turkey was going to make me implode. I found the recipe in one of the Cooking Light magazines, but their recipe was basically vegetarian and although it did sound tasty, ARF: Blue Filet Bites Hor d'ourves . . . did I mention my hor d'ourves on Thanksgiving? Only about a dozen times probably. That's only because I thoroughly enjoyed them and so did my guests. And a food enjoyed is always a good thing. Part III - The Finale Okay so it's a new week and Thanksgiving is past us I debated on whether to blog about this most excellent of all the Gooey Butter Cakes, because yanno what? I pretty much make everything my mother has made since I was a child - and I'm pretty sure she made everything her mom made for her. And pretty much means, The Day After Part I Well it's over. Hours upon hours of cooking.
