2002 Fiat Scudo 2.0 HDi - Turbo troubles
I have here a Fiat Scudo with symptoms that I can describe only as severe turbo lag. When pulling away, the engine is very flat and slow to accelerate. Eventually the turbo will slowly come in before acceleration is much improved.

Is your Scudo an 8 valve or 16 valve hdi , if your not sure have a look on the V5/log book and it should have an engine variant in between two "'s as Fiat vin numbers dont have the engine code like the Expert or Dispatch

Just called my local motor factors who told me straight away that the Scudo is a 16v. Funny that, perhaps Fiat should start getting their vehicle data from them

it depends on what system is fitted, if its the code 2 system you can only purchase the keys from fiat and you'll need the car pass as already said. If its the earlier type then you can buy a transponder key off of ebay and clone the

Unfortunately, the customer has only just bought this vehicle so does not yet have the full V5 document, just the slip with basic information. I've tried calling Fiat to see if they can help, but they claim that their computer does not

Hi BIg Mac , did you sort the scudo out, why I ask is I ve got a similar one , no bottom end power, seems fine at revs,willcruise at 70 no probs will check mine in next few days , .regards Mike

We run 8 Fiat Scudos. If you really want to be tight you can have purely mechanical keys cut (no chip or coding) for a couple of quid. Then hide your good key behind the dash so that the aerial reads it and leave it there.

are some guys out there with the right equpiment to program keys. You will need the password from Fiat (or from your code card). Programmable keys off e-bay are £10, privateers want about £40 to reset keys. You wont get it any cheaper
