hiya guys does anyone know of a problem with the fiat 1.9 td 100 engine as ime at a bit of a loss when i plug in the sensor for no 1 injector the car billows out white smoke but runs ok . then when i disconnect the sensor the engine now

You will need to get the codes read preferably with the fiat examiner,I worked at Fiat and it is the first place to start and usually points directly to the problem

hiya there are no mil lights showing noreason to go down that road yet i dont think as it would have to be a major problem to set a code in a fiat anyway

This is what the technichal assistance at Fiat uk showed me how to do it. If you are stupid you will get burnt,that is way I say a small amount only,obviously don't do it near anything which can burn,or when theres a health and safety

firstly if you read the original post you would see the only tine i see the glow plug light is if i disconnect the needle lift sensor on no 1 injector so that would be the only fault stored i used to work for fiat (CAPITAL MOTORS IN

Is it possible that you still have contact with the fiat garage? If so ask to borrow the workshop manual and browse through it,it may hold the answer or procedure for testing the various sensors

a good turn of fortune was the reply to kia pride post but i dont remember who posted it but a quick sniff of the filler pipe almost confirmed it .IME SURE I SMELL PETROL. but ile recheck in the morning and confirm for definanite thanks

we put £10 of petrol in our transit, it started but them lost a bit of power, we realised our mistake and competely filled it up with diesel and normal power returned but a bit smokey for a few miles. It depends on the mix i suppose,

Take a sample of fuel out drip a small amount onto concrete then set it on fire,only petrol will ignite and flame,diesel will never ignite with a naked flame. Yeah that will work mister health and safety man
