I did think that putting vaccuum on the wastegate would jammed it open too, but when I tried it with the pipe disconnected the turbo did not function at all. So it must be that vaccuum to the actuator switches it on.

I would of thought that putting a constant vacuum to the wastegate would keep it permanantly open which means no turbo pressure,you would be better to disconnect it,then drive it carefully.Have you measured the fuel pressure on the

We run 8 Fiat Scudos. If you really want to be tight you can have purely mechanical keys cut (no chip or coding) for a couple of quid. Then hide your good key behind the dash so that the aerial reads it and leave it there.

I've tested the butterfly valve in the manifold, and it closes ok with vaccuum. I've also tried road testing the van with it disconnected so that the valve is always open, but this made no difference. I also checked the turbo so

it depends on what system is fitted, if its the code 2 system you can only purchase the keys from fiat and you'll need the car pass as already said. If its the earlier type then you can buy a ponder key off of ebay and clone the

There are some guys out there with the right equpiment to program keys. You will need the password from Fiat (or from your code card). Programmable keys off e-bay are £10, privateers want about £40 to reset keys. You wont get it any

Is your Scudo an 8 valve or 16 valve hdi , if your not sure have a look on the V5/log book and it should have an engine variant in between two "'s as Fiat vin numbers dont have the engine code like the Expert or Dispatch
